I am in the process of creating a new collection of patchwork fabrics dedicated to my beautiful friend, Laura, who has unfotunately spent a significant amount of time in hospital lately, caused by Mytochondrial Disease. As Laura is in Victoria and I am in South Australia, I have been unable to visit her in hospital and this just breaks my heart. During the past couple of months I have thought about my dear friend constantly, wishing I could be there for her. Fortunately Laura has a wonderful family and group of friends over in Victoria who have been there to comfort her. Laura has a lovely, gentle, caring, beautiful infectous personality and I would like to think that I have captured this in my upcoming fabric collection.
I hope to raise awareness of Mytochondrial Disease which effects the nervous system and muscle development of sufferers. I have set up a crowdfunding project for this collection on the
